“UNSUSTAINABLE” is the autobiographical story of two very different performers, Galen, a character actor desperate for more substantial parts, and Danica, a cam girl and sex worker who specializes in submission, face-stuffing and mukbang food fetish videos. After connecting on a cam site, the two realize they have far more in common than their shared kinks. Can Galen put aside his careerism and forge a genuine bond with the frail Danica or is this another tale of star-crossed love in the City of Angels? A kinky parable about love, perversion, prejudice within the entertainment industry, the (tainted) relationship to the body and self as they relate to performance, the healing & destructive power of role-play and BDSM relationships, and the pitfalls of living in a society wherein humans are a marketable consumer goods, "UNSUSTAINABLE” is mumblecore amour fou for a superficial, screen-obsessed generation too eager to fall in love with avatars.
